Training in fall went well this season. The temperatures allowed us steady runs. In Sweden in September we could set a good basis for the rest of dryland training.
On the other hand the beginning of the winter was a desaster. We were looking for some snow on Christmas in vain and finally stayed at home. Frustrated by the forecast we decided to leave Germany earlier. So Geli and the dogs went to Sweden in the beginning of January to get some snow runs.
Alltogether we had 8,5 pretty nice weeks in winterwonderland and the dogs ran about 1100 km on snow.
In combination with the training in fall and the spring training as long as temperatures allow, the team has more than 2000 km in their paws.
Sadly there were not so many races in our winter season. There weren’t so many middistance races in Sweden this year. But the dogs were very well trained and ran a good season. The race in Gafsele with about 38 km in three days and an average speed of 22 km/h was really great. Next winter there will be a highlight for us again. We will see what it will be...
