Season is already over- at least the races. Training goes on as long as the temperatures allow it. This winter was a very good one for us although it was a bit bumpy meanwhile. Our dogs had snow under their paws from beginning of December till the end of March. Indeed still without sled in the beginning but ATV, but in the end of December we were in training camp in Crottendorf. So winter started very promising. Then sadly the snow melted away and it started raining so that no race took place. The bad side effect was that our training area close to the river Saale was totally flooded. So we hoped for the races to worked against the lack of training during that time. But after Nassau and Bernau were canceled we saw no chance for participating at the European Championship in Schöneck. The team already stood for about 10 days and so a quick solution had to be found to break with that unsatisfying status. Spontaneously Geli took the dogs and drove to Sweden, Marco came two weeks later by plane. It seems that it was the right decision because many races in Germany were canceled during the season. In Sweden we had enough snow and could train up the dogs for middledistance races. So we had a very nice two days race in Asarna and two three days races in Gafsele and Hamar/ Norway. Because of injured dogs we sadly had to abandoned the traditional race in Nornäs.
